This is the third pattern I’ve done of yours and I must say your instructions are very good. Anyway, I’m sending you some pictures of my completed tote as I feel it is very unique. Each year my sister-in-law and I have a quilt/sewing challenge. This year’s challenge was to use the fabric license plates we have collected from the Row by Row experience.

Wow, these are some really cool patterns for a sewing machine bag. I like that you have the measurements for the back when it is finished. That is good to know because I want to get a bag for my mother’s sewing machine.

Thanks Penelope. I love those pictures sent to me of people that have used my Sewing Machine Tote pattern!

Hi Brenda. Love this pattern. Is the bottom of it reinforced to make it not sag or could it be? I’m looking for something to store and carry my Featherweight in and they are small but heavy.
Brenda Miller says
Hi Margo,
The bottom is reinforced with a product called Bosal Heat Moldable, a fairly stiff product. How nice that you have a Singer Featherweight – enjoy it!

Hi Brenda,
What an amazing bag. I would like to make on for my serger, but it is deeper than the pattern. Do you have any experience altering the pattern for bigger machines?
Thank you in advance,
Birgit from Germany

Hi Brenda! I have been searching far and wide for a pattern for my new Baby Lock Brilliant. I’m a beginner at sewing and was wondering if there was anyway to change the depth measurements to 10” on the inner dimensions instead? I’m unsure of which measurements to alter. Would you be able to help me out, please? Also, do you have a package for sale on all the items needed to sew this bag? Like the zippers, foam, interfacing, straps, etc. I would love to purchase a package if you do have any.
I just purchased the pdf pattern for this bag and can’t wait to sew it up!!
