Homeward Bound makes a great shopping or travel tote
This video is an introduction to Homeward Bound from the video class for the bag. This pattern is available as a paper version or as a downloadable PDF.
Homeward Bound travel tote may be made with panels

Make your bag unique by using panels, or choose regular yardage to create a minimalist one-fabric look on the front and back.
Nostalgic panels, one hiding a large pocket, complement this softly structured bag with decorative rings, a relaxed side silhouette, protective bag feet and interior slip pockets. The design is finished with a secure, zipped closure. The sample bag shown was made with a panel from a collection by Robert Kaufman called Discover Canada.
Homeward Bound’s sister pattern, the Uptown Girl Tote, is an American version of the same bag.

A comment from Jocelyne Sarault
“I used all my material and I’m ready to go walking and impress the other walkers with my new bag! The front is Ottawa where I live and the back is Whitehorse, a city I visted a few years back on our trip to the Yukon.”
