I’ve been invited to teach, speak and show my designs in China this October as a guest of the China Quilts Color and Art Committee and the China International Quilts Festival. This group aims to promote the quilting industry in China. The committee is closely associated with the quilt study courses given at Shaoxing University in Shaoxing City near Shanghai. Sahaoxing City is known as China’s textile city and is the biggest fabric distribution center in Asia. The festival is supported by the Univeristy of Nebraska University, Tsing Hua University, the Beijing Cloth Design College and the China Academy of Arts along with Shaoxing University.
