A day in St. Mary’s, Ontario
Kathy and I headed down the road to the Stonetowne Quilter’s Guild in St. Marys last week for a trunk show and a half-day bag making workshop on the Girlfriends Bag. The trunk show is chock full of stuff to see.
We have a pop-up shop…
Piles of Quilts…
…and tons of bags
Our class for the Girlfriends Bag went very well and the gals were just about done their bags when we all had to pack up.
Back home in Strathroy at ABQ Sewing Studio
Saturday was class day for Kelley, and her group worked on various projects including an embroidered image to be stretched over a canvas and hung as artwork.
Tie One On Apron Club
The Tie One On Apron Club wraps up later this year. Last month we made the Vivian Apron and I brought in lots of colorful rickrack for trim.
This coming month we’ll be making the All Day Apron by Indygo Junction.
Clothing classes
We’ve also got a class running that’s making their Asymmetrical Top. But there’s still one more class before the big reveal. We’ll be offering more clothing making classes in the future. Watch for our rayon fabrics!
Sweet Talk Phone Bag
Another student was making the Sweet Talk Phone Bag and was happy to complete it in just a couple of hours. She’s going to take it for her walks when camping.
Homeward Bound Bag
Shirley Bobier, formerly of The Marsh Store, dropped in for a chat and to show off her new Homeward Bound Bag. The bag got a lot of oohs and ahs from the students.
Shirley also made this bag for the new owner of the Marsh Store, Tracy Hillman. The kindness of quilters never ceases to amaze me. It’s the little things that always mean the most and I thank all of you that take the time to make someones life a little easier, warmer or brighter with your work.
Happy Fall!
