Free Motion Quilting Classes Were a Hit

Free Motion Quilting Session

Kelley’s Free Motion Quilting class was a big hit with every seat filled. People traveled from as far as Hamilton to get into the free motion groove.

The class finishes this week but we’ll be offering an additional class for those interested in honing their skills further.

Due to popular demand, we’ll be offering the beginner’s Secrets of Free Motion class again. Find the details here.

Voyager Bag Class

Five eager ladies joined me for a Voyager Bag Class a couple of weeks ago. In it, they finished their Voyager Bags over the two-day class.

Day One

Day one consists of working on the front and back of the bag, putting in zippers and pockets, sewing the straps, fusing foam stabilizer (and checking out each other’s fabrics).

Day Two

Day two flies by quickly putting together the gusset and top zipper and completing the lining. The tricky part is sewing the front and back to the gusset. It’s thick work and we sew very slowly…

But everyone gets it done. Here’s Dale, she finished first – and did a fantastic job!

Shortly thereafter everyone else finished up and for this group photo.

…and the Strathroy Farmer’s Market

One of the nice things about coming for a Friday/Saturday class in the summer is that the Strathroy Farmer’s Market is open. I make sure I get to work early so I can check out what’s for sale.
