Editor’s note: This post was published in 2018 when ABQ Sewing Studio first opened in Strathroy, Ontario. As of April 25, 2022, we’ve moved to 15 Centre Street West, a few blocks from our original location.
We’re Open!
Opening Day finally dawned this past Monday at the ABQ Sewing Studio at 77 Thomas St. in Strathroy, Ontario!
The patterns were printed, the bag hardware kits made, the floor was swept and all the samples and tasty goodies were out for our guests.
I decided to turn over another new leaf by biking to work this summer. My business friends over at the nearby Libro Credit Union do it, why not me?
I dusted off the bike, had hubby fill the tires, and excited like a kid going to the first day of school I was off. But not for long! About a block down the road I remembered I didn’t have the keys to open the door – back home I pedaled.
Later on, I discovered I didn’t have the plates and napkins I thought to bring. Rob came to the rescue with the goods. I didn’t save much money on gas that day!
Some new and old friends dropped in to check things out. My good friend Shirley Parkin from The Marsh Store brought along a gorgeous flower arrangement containing shocking pink Gerbera Daisies – my favorite color!
Thanks to everyone who came for making this a very special day!
Our grand opening event is set for the end of July 2018. We’ll send out a reminder to email subscribers the week before. If you aren’t subscribed, sign up now for our weekly newsletter and get 12 free tips for bagmakers.
