Event – Fashion History, The Collection of Joseph Hisey

A special slide presentation and a display of vintage and reproduction fashion.

Sharing examples taken from his collection of vintage clothing and reproduction’s based on museum pieces, Joseph Hisey, will discuss how clothing, cloth and needlework have shaped his creative life. This event will provide an opportunity to explore a variety of sewing techniques used in the past and how they continue to be used in couture sewing today. If time permits, Joseph is happy to help you identify any family fashion related treasures that you have questions about. Limited seating.
